- Make sure the handset batteries are fully charged
- Disconnect the actuator from the power supply and, if present, unplug the double battery holder for the emergency lowering
- Press and hold the top two buttons on the hand control
- Reapply power to the operator while holding the hand control buttons
- Keep the buttons pressed for a few more seconds.
The actuator should now extend and retract a little as confirmation.
